      Progress Notes is a free electronic newsletter for people working to prevent, treat, or manage substance use disorders in the DC metropolitan area. It is distributed by Yahoo, which ads a small commercial to pay for that service. Progress Notes is continually adapting, and is currently published twice a month in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. Click here if you do not have the Acrobat Reader software and would like to download it. .
   Each issue starts with a Table of Contents that is hyperlinked to the stories each entry represents, so you can scan the headlines and jump to those stories that interest you. You can jump back to the TOC (older archived copies may not have these hyperlinks). Each issue has sections on:
  • Local News
  • Research and Practice
  • Advocacy and Opinion
  • National News
  • International News
  • Professional Development (jobs, conferences, training, etc.)
  • Resources (funds offered, funds awarded, other tools)
  • A Community Calendar
  • The Masthead (who publishes it, subscription and editorial info)
